About

A mnemonic can be any kind of memory device, but a popular kind of mnemonic for learning a string of information is one where you create an acronym with the first letter of each piece of information.

In this game, you will need to figure out a 'mnemonic' made up of random pieces of information taken from the following four categories of knowledge.

How to Play
You have four tries to guess the Mnemonicle
  • In the first column of boxes, put the first letters of the answers to each of the trivia questions (ignore leading words like “the” or “a”).
  • Type your guesses vertically into the colored squares of the grid, and then hit enter. (The letters don’t have to form real words.)
  • You must answer every row, and you must enter all letters in the order the questions appear (Science → History → Culture → Art).
  • When a letter is correct, that row turns green and becomes locked—you can no longer type in it.
  • When a letter is incorrect, the square turns gray, and that trivia question becomes easier. (You can view all previous versions of each question by using the button at the top of the screen.)
  • A theme will help guide you by hinting at what the final "Mnemonicle" spells.
